All tournaments are governed and played under HPA Rules, are open to amateur players and are subject to change.

WEST WYCOMBE PARK POLO CLUB
Quatro Amigos Invitational (entries limited: 6 WWPPC and 4 SAPA teams)
The 12th annual Quatro Amigos Pairs Invitational Event is scheduled for July 30 and July 31st 2011. Jackie Dean for WWPPC and Clark Betz for SAPA have kindly agreed to assist with this year’s tournament. To encourage former amateur players to participate in this family and friends event, members of SAPA (see www.sapapolo.com) will be eligible to play in LEAGUE ll of the tournament.
The origins of the tournament was to help introduce our newly establish club to other players with whom we enjoyed playing from other clubs and show them our style of hospitality. To make it easier to attract our guests, the tournament rules are basic:
- All WWPPC players (as a pair) may offer to play “HOST” which has specific duties
- All SAPA players in League ll will be offered hospitality by SAPA
- 10 selected Hosts (one WWPPC pair) offer old fashioned hospitality, no money, no pros, just fun to an invited pair from another club.
- 10 nominated Hosts (a pair) are asked to invite another pair to participate in polo over two days.
- WWPPC provides shirts for all the teams and will host a BBQ (BYOB) on the Saturday evening at the grounds (weather permitting).
- Hosts provide accommodation for your guests and their horses.
- Note: Paddocks adjacent to our No.1 - Hell Fire Ground can be booked with Charley on a FIFO basis for visiting pairs.
- “Pairs” handicaps should range from -2 to 3 but no pros; SAPA are all “S” handicapped
- WWPPC and SAPA Hosts complete the Invitation and Entry Form and return on a first come first play basis
- Conditions: The teams in each LEAGUE will be comprised of two pairs and will receive points (3 for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss, and umpires will be permitted to award a gold card (1/2 point for sportsmanship); played over two days, the pairs will be handicapped, seeded and rotated on Sunday by the event organisers. The entry fee is £160 per WWPPC pair, £180 per SAPA pair and will include the BBQ, playing shirt and prizes. Please complete the entry form with your family member or ‘favourite’ partner and confirm the names and handicaps of your guest pair. As a guideline. The individual player handicaps will range from “S” for the SAPA League l to 3 goals for the WWPPC League ll. Keep in mind that we want to encourage visiting pairs to be hosted on Saturday night and not to dash off.

- Depending on demand, a club tournament may be scheduled concurrently by Charley.
